This week’s featured art is Pinku Kitty by ali sabet

Like all two-year-olds, my daughter is very curious and occasionally wants to know what Daddy is doing. She wandered over as I was looking for some art to review for this week, and she yelled “kitty!” when she saw this cute little cat. I asked if she liked the kitty and she said “yesssssss”. Sounds like a ringing endorsement to me.

Ms. Sabet has an entire line of cute cartoon animals available at Imagekind, so be sure to explore her galleries! Pinku Kitty and her cohorts make great additions to a child’s bedroom or play room.

Like all art at Imagekind, the mat and frame can be customized by the buyer.

Prices for Pinku Kitty begin at $16.98, subject to change.

This week’s featured art is Autumn Afternoon in Athens, Georgia by Tim Beasley

In the spirit of the current promotion at Imagekind, Art from Autumn’s Palette, I’ve chosen a fantastic autumn landscape scene. Artist Tim Beasley has really captured the wonderful array of colors and texture of a southern autumn day.

While most of the art at Imagekind seems to be based in photographs or pure digital creation, Mr. Beasley shows how wonderfully paint can stand alongside the more modern techniques. The choice of mat and frame are perfect. There isn’t a thing about this piece that I feel could be improved upon.

Art from Autumn’s Palette is a promotion running through September 19, 2007 at 10pm PST. Shoppers at Imagekind can enjoy a $3 flat shipping rate on any orders shipped within the USA when using the promo code FALLCOLORS during check out.

Prices for Autumn Afternoon in Athens, Georgia begin at $14.43, subject to change.

This week’s featured art is 1890-reunion by Bridgett Schneider

Apologies for being a day late on this week’s review - I try to write ahead of time, but alas, it was not to be this week.

This is a great photo presented by Ms. Schneider. There are no real obvious touch-ups or Photoshop effects, and the piece looks very fresh. It’s a crystal-clear window to the past, nearly 120 years ago. The soldiers are the survivors of the Civil War who fought in the U.S. Army, 8th Tennessee Cavalry, Company B.

If you’d like a print with a frame and mat combination, they are both customizable upon purchase.

Prices for 1890-reunion begin at $18.99, subject to change.
