Art That Doesn’t Suck - December 28, 2007

This week’s featured art is Wisdom by From God’s Hands

What strikes me most about this piece is the way the photograph has been digitally manipulated to look almost like a wood carving. The fine detail in the feathers is simply awesome. Like flowers, animals are overdone in commercial art; but when a piece is well executed, it can stand apart from the masses. This is a well executed work of art.

Images like this beg for custom frames and mats. Although I like the thin frame chosen for display, I highly encourage viewers to play with the framing and mat engine at Imagekind to find a great combination. There’s a ton of combinations that would work great with this piece!

Prices for Wisdom begin at $33.96, subject to change.

Owls have such profound archetypal meaning to us. An image like this speaks of it. Mysterious, alluring, inspiring reverence. Thanks for the featured page here where we get to enjoy other artists’ fine work, Daniel.
